by The Flowers Art Collective
Saturday 16th November - Friday 6th December
Opening Celebration: 4pm Sunday 17th November, 4 - 6pm
About the exhibition:
Intuitio- The intuitive, to scrutinize, the act of seeing. Pumanawa- Intuitive cleverness, the drawing in of a long breath, the heartbeat. Artistic Passport Aotearoa- Labels a group of artists of diverse ethnicity in Aotearoa NZ, including Maori, NZ European, Pasifika, Manx, South African, French, Asian and Caribbean. Pumanawa/ Intuitio: Artistic Passport Aotearoa is a showcase of authenticity to one's own cultural identity, while reflecting on the common denominator of an Aotearoa NZ lifestyle. Artists respond intuitively, considering their heritage, placement and/or displacement, the negotiation of challenges, and things to be celebrated. You are invited to join us for an evening in the Ogle Gallery at The Lakehouse Arts Centre to officially open the exhibition with refreshments and opportunities to hear from the artists, on Sunday 17th November- Evening starts at 4.00pm. The exhibition will be open to view until Friday 6th December 2024
